Raised Beds A Few Days After Planting

A few days after planting we checking in and they had no transfer shock.

Preparing The Soil

The Starting Point of the Soil

This project used underutilize raised beds that came with the home. The client already had tried double digging and planting some leafy greens in the raised beds, but they were just not taking off. One of the first things we did was to do a double digging and amend it with compost and some potting mix to loosen up the soil. The client wanted to use the square foot garden method which we used as our backbone for the design. The main priority was to produce leafy greens and some vegetables.

Leafy Greens
July Harvest

After we amended the soil and put down 3-4 inches of mulch the plants were much happier. As the weather started to warm up the plants really took off. The last picture is the client sharing one of her harvests.
